Volleyball setter earns honorable mention
Siuslaw football standout Marshall Teter is Coast Radio Sports’ Athlete of the week. The senior linebacker had a phenomenal defensive game in last week’s non-league victory over Pleasant Hill. He stopped one Pleasant Hill drive by batting away a fourth down pass. On another, he forced a fumble on the goal line and returned it 15 yards.
Honorable Mention is given to Viking volleyball setter and team leader Hannah Bartlett who recorded 25 assists in a non-league victory over Newport.

Siuslaw volleyball opens play in the Far West League on the road against the South Umpqua Lancers… Mapleton is at home for the first time this season this evening for a Mountain West League match against Eddyville Charter.
