SAN RAFAEL, Calif. (AP) – Authorities in Northern California have identified three drifters arrested in Oregon for the killing of a yoga teacher on a hiking trail. The Marin County Sheriff’s Office says Sean Angold, Morrison Lampley and Lila Allgood were arrested in Portland yesterday. On Monday 67-year-old Steve Carter was found dead. Police used GPS on the victim’s car to find the suspects.
PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Portland officials have approved a housing emergency plan as nearly 1,900 people remain without shelter in the city. The Oregonian reports that the City Council vote authorizes leaders to waive city code to allow temporary emergency homeless shelters, open day-storage areas and the use of properties to address the growing crisis.
CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) – An Oregon State University soccer player charged with public indecency after an alleged incident in which he exposed himself to a woman near campus has prior convictions for a similar offense. The Gazette-Times reports that police say David Brown was arrested Sept. 30 for touching himself sexually while standing naked outside a woman’s home. Court documents say Brown was convicted of indecent exposure in Texas in July 2014.
GRANTS PASS, Ore. (AP) – Authorities have arrested a Grants Pass woman accused of causing two crashes, one of which resulted in a passenger’s death. KOIN-TV reports that 22-year-old Breanna White faces 21 charges, including manslaughter and DUI.
