First four sets decided by 11 points total
The Cottage Grove Lions eliminated the Siuslaw Vikings from post-season volleyball play last night in Florence. The match went the full five sets with the first four being very close. The Lions won game five 15-8.
Hannah Bartlett had 25 assists, Elyssa Rose had 17 kills and four blocks. Claire Waggoner scored 16 points on serve and had two aces. Siuslaw ended the year with an 11-9 overall record; 6-and-four and second place in the Far West.
The loss leaves Marshfield as the only remaining Far West team in play. The Pirates will host Junction City Saturday.
