Tupua named outstanding wrestler and wins 160 pound championship
Siuslaw wrestling standout Andrew Tupua is Coast Radio Sports’ Athlete of the Week. The senior grappler won the 160 pound individual championship at last week’s Springfield Invitational, defeating the top seeded wrestler in the championship match. Tupua was also named the meet’s outstanding wrestler in the middle weight classes.
Honorable mention is given to his teammate, Scott Simmons who was the runner up at 138 pounds in the same meet.
