Viking wrestler sweeps field at Bay City Duals
Siuslaw wrestling standout Murray Bingham is Coast Radio Sports’ Athlete of the Week. The freshman 132 pounder swept all five of his matches at last week’s Bay City Duals at Marshfield High School. In his most dramatic win, he trailed 17-3 headed into the third round, but quickly turned it around; winning the match by pin.
Honorable mention goes to Scott Simmons. He also swept all five of his matches at the Bay City Duals, wrestling in two different weight classes, 138 and 145.
On the schedule tonight
The Oregon Men will host Western Oregon University at Matthew Knight Arena for their final non-conference game of the season. Airtime on KCST is at 5:30… tipoff at six.
