Claims 160-pound title at Bend Invitational
Siuslaw wrestling standout Andrew Tupua is Coast Radio Sports’ Athlete of the week. The Viking 160 pounder claimed the individual title at last week’s 10-team Bend Invitational. He began with a pin in 38-seconds in the first match, winning an 8-7 decision in the second, then capping the title with a pin in 1:41.
Honorable mention: Mapleton basketball standout Hunter Simington who led scoring with 12 points, including the final basket for the winning margin in a one-point victory over Eddyville.
