LAS VEGAS (AP) — George King scored 17 of his 21 points in the first half, helping Colorado run away from Washington State for an 80-56 victory yesterday in the opening round of the Pac-12 tournament. Colorado took advantage of Washington State’s persistent double teams on Josh Scott, working the ball around for open shots while building a 19-point halftime lead. The fifth-seeded Buffaloes move on to meet No. 4 seed Arizona in today’s quarterfinals.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Dejounte Murray scored 25 points, Marquese Chriss had 18 and 10 rebounds, and Washington routed Stanford 91-68 yesterday in the opening game of the Pac-12 tournament. Washington entered the Pac-12 tournament hoping boost its slim NCAA Tournament chances. Washington shot 50 percent to earn a spot in today’s second round against top-seeded Oregon.

RENTON, Wash. (AP) — The Seattle Seahawks have tendered contracts to eight restricted and exclusive rights free agents, but did not tender offers to running back Christine Michael, guard Alvin Bailey and fullback Derrick Coleman. Seattle announced its tenders yesterday and included defensive backs DeShawn Shead, Marcus Burley, Steven Terrell and Mohammed Seisay; linebacker Eric Pinkins and tight end Cooper Helfet.

ALAMEDA, Calif. (AP) — The Oakland Raiders have filled another hole in free agency by agreeing to a four-year contract with former Seattle pass rusher Bruce Irvin. A person with knowledge of the deal says Irvin will sign the contract worth a reported $39 million. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the contract has not been signed.
