College basketball today…
The Oregon Women will host Weber State in the opening round of the W-N-I-T at Matthew Knight Arena. That game at six. The Oregon Men, #1 seed in the West regional of the Men’s NCAA Tournament will take on Holy Cross tomorrow afternoon in Spokane. The Crusaders beat Southern University 59-55 yesterday. The Oregon State Men will take on VCU tomorrow morning at 10:30. The Beavers are the number seven seed in the West. And, the Oregon State women are the number two seed in the Dallas Regional of the Women’s NCAA tournament… they’ll host Troy tomorrow at 2:30.
Turning to prep sports…
Viking baseball and softball are scheduled to start on the diamond today. The Lady Vikings will take on the Irish in Waldport at 4:30. The boys will be in Sweet Home against the Huskies, also at 4:30. That game will air on Coast Radio Sports with the pregame show under way at 4:15.
The Siuslaw Ice Breaker is set for the track at Hans Peterson Field this afternoon in Florence. Teams from five schools will be in competition. Field events begin at four… running events at 4:30.
