Precht sprints and jumps her way to State meet
Siuslaw track and field standout Annmarie Precht is Coast Radio Sports’ Athlete of the Week. The junior sprinter and jumper qualified for the OSAA 4A State Track and Field Finals in four events with wins the 100 and 200 meters at the Far West District Meet. She also ran a leg of the winning 4-by-400 relay and finished fourth in the long jump with a qualifying mark of 16’ 6.75”.
Honorable mention is given to sophomore thrower Trent Reavis who qualified for the state meet by winning both the shot put and the discus, as well as being named the boys thrower of the meet at the Far West District meet.

Rhody Run Registration ending
Pre-race registration for the 2016 Rhody Run five and ten K will close this afternoon at four o’clock. Applications can be downloaded from Eclectic Edge Racing-dot-com. Race day registration Saturday morning opens at seven AM at the Florence Events Center.
