Emerald’s 1st baseman has two doubles
Spokane’s Xavier Turner was 3-for-3 at the plate with a home run and a pair of runs scored to lead the Northwest League All Stars past the Pioneer League 11-5 Wednesday in Ogden, Utah.
The Texas Rangers’ prospect put the Northwest League on the board first in the third inning with a solo shot.
Eugene’s Chris Pieters started off a seven-run fourth inning with a double, eventually scoring. Pieters had his second double of the night in the sixth inning and scored his second run of the night.
The entire Northwest League will be off again this evening… the Emeralds will host the Vancouver Canadians for the first of five tomorrow night.
