Siuslaw volleyball sweeps Marshield

Siuslaw powered to a three-set win over Marshfield last night in Florence to remain alone atop the Far West Volleyball Standings.  The Vikings easily downed the Pirates 25-12; 25-11; and 25-13.  Elyssa Rose and Emma Collins each had seven kills.    Coach Jonathan Hornung said his team “started strong” and “didn’t let up the whole match.”

In the other two league matches last night, Douglas breezed past Brookings-Harbor in three sets to take a solid hold on second place.  South Umpqua beat North Bend in four.
