OSAA State Finals this Saturday in Eugene
Members of the Siuslaw Viking Girls’ Cross Country team are working this week to prepare for a defense of last year’s state title. The Vikings, led by individual state champion Celie Mans, won the 4A team title in 2015.
They will be making the run in defense Saturday afternoon at Lane Community College in Eugene.
Siuslaw is led by Mans, a senior, who won her third straight Far West District Title. Also on the roster: fellow senior Destinie Tatum, sophomore Kaeli Ramos, and four freshmen: Hannah Rannow, Chloe Madden, Bryn Clement, and Anne Wartnik.
The Vikings have a solo boy competing at the meet. Senior Jack Pickell qualified with an individual fourth place finish at the Far West meet.
