Here is the latest Washington, Oregon and Alaska sports news from The Associated Press

RENTON, Wash. (AP) — The Seattle Seahawks are hopeful starters Earl Thomas and DeShawn Shead will return for Sunday’s game against Carolina. Coach Pete Carroll said Wednesday that Thomas and Shead were expected to practice. Both players suffered hamstring injuries two weeks ago in a win over Philadelphia and missed last Sunday’s loss to Tampa Bay.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Damian Lillard had 28 points and 10 assists, and the Portland Trail Blazers beat the Indiana Pacers and former coach Nate McMillan 131-109 Wednesday night. Maurice Harkless added 23 points for the Blazers, who led by as many as 28 in their fifth consecutive victory over the Pacers.

FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) — Alex Robinson scored 16 points and TCU rallied from an early 17-point deficit to beat Washington 86-71 Wednesday night in a rare back-to-back meeting of non-conference opponents. Markelle Fultz led the Huskies with 21 points, 14 rebounds and six assists — but had six of the Huskies’ season-high 25 turnovers in Fort Worth.

PULLMAN, Wash. (AP) — Freshman Malachi Flynn scored a season-best 27 points and Washington State snapped a two-game losing streak with an 83-76 victory over Utah Valley Wednesday night. Washington State led by 19 points with 16:41 left in the game, but Utah Valley closed the gap to five points with 5:44 remaining, making five of their last six shots.
