The Ducks lost preseason All-America Dillon Brooks to a lower leg injury late in the first half. Brooks, who had offseason surgery on his left foot, limped off the court as Oregon was building a 44-30 halftime lead.
PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Calaen Robinson and Zach Gengler each scored 15 points as Portland State used balance scoring to overcome a pair of hot hands from Montana, 88-79 in a Big Sky showdown Thursday night. Seven of the eight scorers for Portland State had at least nine points and five reached double-figure scoring.
CHENEY, Wash. (AP) — Jacob Wiley was 14 of 16 from the field for 30 points to lead Eastern Washington to an 84-62 drubbing of Northern Arizona in Big Sky Conference action Thursday night. Wiley, who had his third straight game with 27 or more points, also grabbed eight rebounds, swatted away four shots and dished out four assists.
