HOUSTON (AP) — Jarrod Dyson hit a tiebreaking RBI single in the ninth inning and Jean Segura drove in a run later in the inning to lift the Seattle Mariners to a 4-2 victory over the Houston Astros Thursday night. Dan Altavilla pitched a scoreless eighth for the win and Edwin Diaz struck out two in a perfect ninth for his first save.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Allen Crabbe had 25 points, including a career-high eight 3-pointers, and the Portland Trail Blazers beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 105-98 Thursday night to snap a two-game losing streak. Damian Lillard added 22 points, nine rebounds and eight assists for Portland.

FRISCO, Texas (AP) — Crystal Dunn scored twice on the same field where she tied a national team record with five goals in a game last year and the U.S. women rolled to a 4-0 exhibition victory over Russia Thursday night. Alyssa Naeher recorded the shutout in the north Dallas suburb of Frisco, Texas.

BOZEMAN, Mont. (AP) — Two Montana State football players have been suspended indefinitely after being charged with distributing prescription drugs. Coach Jeff Choate announced Thursday that junior Naijiel Hale and senior redshirt Darren Gardenhire were suspended, but he did not give a reason. Both were arrested Wednesday. The Bozeman Daily Chronicle reports Justice of the Peace Rick West set bail at $25,000 for Hale, who is charged with possessing and distributing dangerous drugs. Gardenhire’s bail was set at $20,000 Thursday on a distribution charge. They did not enter pleas.
