Reavis Named Athlete of the Week
Siuslaw track and field standout Trent Reavis is Coast Radio Sports’ Athlete of the Week. The junior athlete captured two Far West League titles this week with a personal record throw of 52-feet, one-half-inch in the shot put, and a discus toss of 150-feet-11-inches. Reavis also finished second in the javelin throw with a mark o 172-feet-6-inches.
Honorable mention is given to senior runner Destinie Tatum who earned a trip to the State Track and Field Meet at the Far West finals with a 1st place finish in the 800 meters with a time of 2:25.76.
Beavers Roll On
Last Night in Keizer the OSU Beavers outscored the Portland Pilots 7-1. 7 of the beaver’s 13 hits were for extra bases including 2 homers. One by Grenier and the other by Larnach. Jake Mulholland gets the win in relief with 2 2/3 innings pitched.
