12 Innings Tire Emeralds
The current streak ends at 7 as the Eugene Emeralds faced off against the Vancouver Canadians. The first of a 5 game series was a pitching duel that took the game late into the evening. The Ems held tight into the 6th where it was nothing-nothing until the bottom of the inning when the Canadians mounted some offense and managed to score 1 run. It wasn’t until the top of the 8th when the Ems evened up the score where it remained until the bottom of the 12th. Vancouver scored the winning run after a wild pitch advanced Vancouver’s Norberto Orbeso to second base. A subsequent bunt moved him over to third and then a second wild pitch brought him home ending the game.
