Emeralds Drop Series With Spokane

The Eugene Emeralds battled from behind a 5 run deficit but did not have enough gas in the tank to complete the run.  The Spokane Indians started with two runs in the first and added one more in the fourth and two in the fifth.  In the bottom of the seventh inning the Ems were able to score 4 runs but it was more a comedy of errors than good baseball.  An Indian fielding error, a hit batsman, and a walk contributed to the four run inning.  On the night the Emeralds were only able to get 3 hits.  They travel to Hillsboro this evening for a 3 game stand with the Hops.
