Viking All-Stars
Coast Radio’s Athlete of the Week, Siuslaw Viking seniorTrent Reavis, has also been named First Team All-League for the Far west league. Reavis was chosen for his work at tight-end. He received Second team honors for his position as linebacker and punter. Four other Vikings received honorable mention; Jared Brandt, Patrick Hill, Tim Lowder and Matt Horillo.
Viking junior Volleyballer Makenzie York was chosen as a first team All-League for Far West League Girls Volleyball. She was joined by two second team nominations in junior Jordan Long and senior Emma Collins. Sophomore Mia Collins received an honorable mention.
Wrestling Sign-ups
Li’l Toads Wrestling is now signing up participants for their upcoming wrestling season. Li’l Toads Wrestling will take place Monday, November 6th through Friday November 10th for kindergarten students through 5th grades. Practices are schedule for Monday through Thursday, 3:15 to 5pm. Wrestlers will be escorted to practices at the high school gym after classes. Li’l Toads Wrestling tournament will be held Friday November 10th at 6pm in the Siuslaw high school gym. Lead by Neil Warnick and Stecher Buss Li’l Toads Wrestling program is in need of parent volunteers.
