Far West Meet
The first three rounds of the Far West League Meet went to Siuslaw yesterday but it wasn’t enough to get them the title. The Vikings finished third after defeating North Bend, Brookings-Harbor, and South Umpqua, but lost in the 4th and 5th round to Marshfield and finally Douglas. Viking Junior Riley Jennings pinned his first three opponents in the 170 pound weight class before falling to Marshfields Travis Whittlake in the 4th match. Next up TheVikings will be on the mats Saturday at Bend High School for the Bend Invite. Siuslaw will host the Nick Lutz Invitational a week from Saturday – January 13th.
Vikings Take The Court
The Siuslaw Vikings are on the hardwood tonight for the Far West / Skyline Leagues Cross Over Tournament at Hidden Valley High School in Grants Pass. The Two day tournament concludes Saturday. The Girls two day tournament will be held at North Valley High School.
Civil War
College Hoops tonight is a Civil War as Oregon takes on Oregon State in Corvallis. Pregame on KCST and KCFM is set for 6:30, tip off between the visiting Ducks and hosting Beavers is at 7 o’clock on Ralph Miller Court at Gill Collesium.
Lady’s Hoops
Women’s basketball tonight, Oregon takes on USC in Los Angeles at 8 o’clock… while Oregon State will be in Pasadena to face UCLA at 6 o’clock… the Beavs will play the Trojans Sunday at 1, while the Lady Ducks will play UCLA at 5pm.
