Vikings Fall to Douglas
On Friday evening the Siuslaw Vikings marched into the home of the Douglas Trojans hoping for a win, but the Spartans nipped that idea by keeping the Vikings at bay. 58-40. The Viking girls were also defeated by Douglas 40-33 in a much closer match.
Wrestlers Grapple with Success
In back to back meets on Friday and Saturday the Viking grapplers fared well. on Friday it was a dual meet with South Umpqua where the Vikings scored a 35 to 24 victory. Four Viking wrestlers scored pins in the Friday victory. On Saturday the Vikings traveled to the Sutherlin Wrestling Classic where Richard Huff swept his weight class with a decision, a pin, and a Technical fall scoring 23 and a half points. Junior Riley Jennings added 15 points with a 4th place finish taking 3 of his 4 opponents in the 170 weight class division.

The Oregon ducks men knocked off UCLA on Saturday in Eugene 94-91
While the Beavers lost to USC 74-67.
It was a dual civil war battle over the weekend with the Lady Ducks and Beavers splitting home court advantage. The Beaver beat the Ducks in Corvallis 85 -79 and then rebounded at home in Eugene on Sunday where the Ducks handed the Beavers a 75-63 loss.
