Athlete of the Week: Abby Coday
Coast Radio sports athlete of the week is senior Viking Bowler Abby Coday. Coday led the Vikings to a district championship on Sunday and was selected MVP of the tournament. Coach Anderson says that Coday showed poise and leadership in Sunday’s event and even did some coaching as she encouraged her teammates. Four of the team’s bowlers made the all-stars. The team was undefeated on the season.
Honorable mention went to Junior Mapleton Basketball player Evan Moso. Moso recently returned to the lineup for Mapleton after an injury and made his presence know in their win against McKenzie with 4 3 pointers.

Mountain West League Basketball tonight has the Sailor boys on the boards against the Alsea Eagles in Mapleton at 7 o’clock.
2 Beavers on Pre-Season All-American Team
Baseball America has announced tow OSU Beavers to their pre-season All American team: Second Baseman Nick Madrigal and shortstop Cadyn Grenier. This is the 3rd straight pre-season honor for Madrigal. Grenier was named All Pac 12 First Team at the end of last season.
