Ems Drop Another Home Stand
The Eugene Emeralds drop yet another home game against the Salem-Kaiser Volcanoes. The Volcanoes took the series from the Ems last night with a 6-2 win over the Ems. Salem took an early 3 nothing lead as the Ems once again struggle to come from behind. A Nelson Velazquez homer in the fourth and a single RBI in the 5th was all the offense the EMS could muster. Salem added 3 more runs in the 6th to take a 4 run lead. Eugene managed 6 hits on the night to Salem’s 11. The Emeralds head to tri-city tonight for a 5 game series. Game time will be 7:15.
