A couple of early hits put the Eugene Emeralds out in front last night against the Salem-Kaiser Volcanoes. The Ems took a 2 nothing lead through 7 innings when Volcanoes 3rd baseman David Villar hit a two run homer to tie the game. The ems got back in front after a couple singles in the bottom of the 7th when Fernando Kelli hit a single into left field scoring second baseman Luis Diaz. Final score 3-2 Ems.
