Ems Clip Indians for Series Win
The Minor League Baseball System will be having their All-Star Game tomorrow evening which means no baseball for the Ems tonight. Over the weekend the Eugene Emeralds managed to take a series away from the Spokane Indians. The Ems had 6 runs on 6 hits on Friday evening with a Grand Slam in the fourth inning by right fielder Jonathan Sierra. On Saturday night the Indians bounced back with a 7-2 win and then last night the Ems came from behind after trailing 3-nothing. The Ems scored one run in the 7th, 8th, and 9th inning to tie it up and take it to extra innings. Finishing off the Indians in the bottom of the 10th with a wild pitch scoring the winning run. The all star game will be played in Grand Junction Colorado tomorrow evening. The Ems return to League Play on Thursday against Everett.
