Ems Finish Strong in Hawks Series
The Boise Hawks flew into Eugene’s PK Park over the weekend for a three game series against the Eugene Emeralds. The Hawks took the first game Friday evening smacking 14 hits and scoring 11 runs as they blanked the Emeralds at home. The Emeralds bounced back on Saturday with 12 hits of their own and a 6-1 victory over the hawks. Last night in Eugene the Ems struck early taking a 2-nothing advantage into the 6th inning when Boise fought back to tie it up. The Ems took the lead back in the bottom of the 6th and then the Hawks evened the score again by scoring a run in the 7th and the 8th forcing extra innings. In the bottom of the 10th the Emeralds score on a single to left field driving in D.j. Artis from second base. The Ems are in Hillsboro this evening for a three game series against the Hops.
