Emeralds Up One on Hillsboro
The Eugene Emeralds moved a step closer to the next round of the Minor League playoffs. Last night at PK Park the Ems trailed 2-nothing until the bottom of the 5th inning when the Ems scored on a fielder’s choice. The Ems scored 2 more runs in the bottom of the 6th to take a 3-2 lead and that was enough to hold the hops at bay. Tonight it’s game two in the best of three series at Hillsboro’s Ron Tonkin Field.

The lady Sailors are also at home against McKenzie this evening for league play. Mapleton JV hits the courts at 4:30 and Varsity at 6pm
