Season Starts for Collegiate Basketball:
The Ducks Payton Prichard led scorers in last nights game against Portland State. The junior guard from West Linn was 6-7 from the field and 9-9 from the free through line as Oregon defeated Portland State 84-57.
The Oregon State Beavers were also victorious in their season opener against UC Riverside. Tres Tinkle had 19 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists in the 72-59 victory. Ethan Thompson and Stephen Thompson Junior each added 17 point in the win.
The #3 ranked lady Ducks were also on the court last night against Alaska Fairbanks routing the Nanooks 115-36 in the exhibition.
