Athlete of the Week
The Sports Club, the Siuslaw News and Coast Radio Sports Congratulate Jaxson Jensen as this week’s Athlete of the Week.
Jensen scored both goals in the season opener soccer game against Waldport in the 2-1 victory on Friday and then on Saturday posted the second best Viking time in the 5000 meter with a personal record best of 17:33.6
Honarable Mention goes to Mapleton Sailor JJ Neece who had 287 yards rushing, was 7-10 passing and had 5 touchdowns in Friday night’s win over Riddle
Girls Coach Still Needed
As basketball season approaches the Siuslaw Vikings are still without a head girls basketball coach. The application deadline for the position has been extended to September 20th. first practice for the girls is November 18th.
