Viking Soccer 3-0
The Siuslaw Viking soccer team has won another game, taking the team to a 3-0 start for the season. Yesterday afternoon they played Marist. Coach Londi Tomaro said it was a tough, physical battle. The score was 1-1 midway in the second half when junior Jaxson Jensen broke through the Marist Defense to push the ball past the goalie. Tomaro said the score would have been a lot higher if not for the work of the Marist Goalie who stopped 12 of the 13 shots on goal. Final score 2-1 Vikings.

The Siuslaw Viking ladies were on the court last night against Marshfield. Marshfield took the contest in 3 sets 25-20, 25-21, and 25-13

On the prep grid iron tonight in Mountain West League eight man football it’s the Sailors taking on the Elton Elks. Tonight’s match-up between two unbeaten will air at 6:45 on KCST, with a kick off at Mapleton High School at 7 o’clock on KCST.
The Vikings are on the road to Madras for a rare Saturday afternoon match up against Mac High. Pregame on KCST is at 3:45, kick-off is at 4 o’clock over Coast Radio Sports.
The Oregon State Beavers are in Corvallis tomorrow afternoon hosting the Stanford Cardinal in Pac Twelve Football action. Pregame on KCFM is at 3 o’clock, kick off at Reser Stadium is at 4 o’clock. The Ducks have a bye this week.
