Wolves Defeat Sailors
The Mapleton Sailors experienced their first Playoff game in a decade last night by traveling to Days Creek to take on the Wolves. Head Coach Eric Wolgamatt said the Sailors were not quite ready for the amount of pressure applied by Days Creek. The Sailors went scoreless in the third quarter and were eventually defeated 46-32. JJ Neece led the Sailors with 18. The Sailors now look to the future to build upon this year’s success.
Civil War
It is Civil War Basketball tonight as the Oregon Ducks Host the Oregon State Beavers at Matthew Knight Arena. Pregame on both KCST and KCFM is at 7:30, tip off on the tall timbers in Eugene is at 8 o’clock.
Vikings vs Woodburn
The Siuslaw Vikings have made the playoffs. On Tuesday night, around 10 pm the final results of games played by Junction City and Newport moved the Vikings into the top 20 which gave them a seat at the table. They will play Woodburn on Friday evening in a State Play-in. If the Vikings win then they will be seeded in the state playoff bracket. Coast Radio will carry the game live beginning at 6:45 tomorrow evening.
