Uncertain Schedules Face Fall Sports
With the NFL draft in the books, that signals the last big sporting event that will happen for the foreseeable future. It is still unclear about the future of high school sports in the fall as no timeline has been given for the resumption of activities. Siuslaw High School is working remotely with athletes that will be involved in fall sports offering online and teleconferenced workouts to get athletes prepared. Siuslaw’s first non-league game is scheduled against South Umpqua on September 4th, but it may be necessary, depending on the timeline to cancel non-league games. A contingency that head coach Sam Johnson says they will prepare for. Johnson says they are also ready to move football camp if necessary to accommodate any updated timeline as a result of the corona virus.
