Oregon junior linebacker Isaac Slade-Matautia was one of 51 players named to the Butkus Award watch list on Monday. The Butkus Award honors the nation’s best linebacker at the collegiate and high school levels. Slade-Matautia started all 14 games at middle linebacker a season ago in Oregon’s run to Pac-12 and Rose Bowl titles.
Oregon senior Hunter Kampmoyer was named Friday to the preseason watch list for the John Mackey Award, which is given annually to the nation’s most outstanding collegiate tight end. Kampmoyer started seven games during the Ducks’ Pac-12 championship season in 2019. Among his five receptions were his first career touchdown, against Nevada, and two receptions on the opening touchdown drive of Oregon’s Rose Bowl win over Wisconsin.
