Registration is now open for the 23rd annual Boys and Girls Club “Fore! The Kids” Golf Classic and 9th annual Helicopter Drop. Set for Saturday, August 22nd at Florence Golf Links, the Fore! Kids Tourney 4 man scramble is $90 per player with an 8am check in and a 10am shot gun start. Register online at Fore The Kids Golf at A Frogs dot org, at Florence Golf Links, or the Boys and Girls Club. Proceeds support the Boys and Girls Club of Western Lane County.

Two Siuslaw Alumni have been named to Southern Oregon University’s All Decade Track and Field team. Three time NAIA Decathlon and two time NAIA Heptathlon All American Joseph Dotson also made All Cascade Conference five times and was the 2020 CoSIDA Academic All District during his career between 2016 and 2020 at SOU. Attending SOU between 2011 and 12 Max Perry was the 2012 NAIA Hammer and Shot Put Runner Up and 3 time All American. Perry also holds Souther Oregon’s Hammer Record for 194 feet eight inches and was the Cascade Conference Shot Put Champion in 2011
