Collegiate Action May Be Next To Fall
Word may come down by the end of the week that fall sports for colleges may be cancelled until 2021. Currently competition is slated to begin on September 26 for football, soccer, volleyball and cross country. Pac-12 Commissioner Larry Scott says there are currently elements outside of their control referring in part to the COVID-19 pandemic. A cancellation of sports from the power 5 conferences could ultimately translate to the entire NCAA program. The power 5 conferences consist of the ACC, the Big 10, Big 12, SEC, and the Pac-12. The Ducks are slated to host Colorado on September 26 and the OSU Beavers will host Cal.
