College to Begin Training Camp
This Friday the Oregon Ducks and the Oregon State Beavers begin training camp for the upcoming Pac-12 season. The Ducks are feeling the pinch on defense with the absence of Troy Dye. Filling that position in the middle of the defense will be Isaac Slade-Matautia. He is the Ducks leading tackler from the 2019 season with 62. He also had 11 pass break-ups and six Quarterback hurries. The ducks, while they have some returning starters will be working with a younger squad and with no nonconference games to act as warm-ups, the Ducks may have a difficult time finding their footing in the Pac-12.
The Oregon State Beavers haven’t released much information on their team make-up and are likely waiting to get a few practices under their belts before openly speculating about the upcoming season although the Beavers are introducing at least 5 new players to their defensive lineup.
