OSAA Posts Schedules
The Oregon Sports Activities Association has posted the current football, basketball and volleyball schedules on their website. Siuslaw Athletic Director Chris Johnson says this is the current plan to move forward, but the schedule is, of course, subject to how the COVID-19 pandemic plays out in the coming months.
Ducks Pad Up for Autzen
The Oregon Ducks donned full pads on Wednesday and practiced in Autzen stadium as the Ducks continue to prepare for their opening game against Stanford. One of the bright spots, according to several Duck coaches is CJ Verdell. Verdell posted 1,018 yards in his freshman season with the Ducks. Position coach Jim Mastro says he thinks Verdell is going to have a great year based on this year’s practices so far. He also said that Verdell displays all the talents of a great back which is rare to find in a single player. The Ducks are ranked 14th by the Associated Press.
