Victorious Vikings
The Siuslaw Vikings on Friday night put on a show of force against Harrisburg. Braydon Thornton had 7 catches for 108 yards and 3 TD’s in the 58 -12 victory. Camp Lacouture also caught a couple of Elijah Blankenship’s passes for touchdowns and added a third on defense returning a fumble 25 yards for the score.
Beavers Upset Cowboys
The Oregon State Beavers took Oklahoma State to School last night in the round of 32. The Beavers upset the number 4 seeded Cowboys to advance to the Sweet 16. The Beavers scored 44 points in the first half, more than any other team this season against OSU. Ethan Thompson led the Beavers with 26 and had 7 rebounds. The beavers won 80-70. Head Coach Wayne Tinkle said as he talked about the Beavers accomplishments this year “maybe now the Beavers will get some respect” the Beavers next opponent is Loyola on Saturday.
Siuslaw Runners Lead the Pack
5 of the top six runners at Saturday’s Sky-EM XC meet were Vikings as the cross country team dominated the pack. Chad Hughes led with a time of 17:02.28 followed by Sam Ulrich, Kyle Hughes and Ryan Jennings. Jaxson Jensen took the sixth spot as the Viking boys were tops out of 5 schools. The Viking Girls also took the meet with Rylee Colton coming in second with a time of 20:01.57. Gracie Freudenthal took 5th and Brea Blankenship, Jane Lacouture and Corduroy Holbrook rounded out the top ten.
Beaver Baseball
The Oregon State Beavers after a loss to Washington State on Friday battle for wins on Saturday and Sunday in Corvallis. Winning 10-3 on Saturday and 9-8 on Sunday. The beaver were tied up until the bottom of the 8th inning when Andy Armstrong hit a solo homer to send the beavers ahead and gave them the win.

Oregon State women won their tournament game last night against Florida State 83-59 and will play again tomorrow against the Carolina Gamecocks at 4 pm
Duck Women Play Tonight
The Duck Women play this evening at 7 pm as they take on South Dakota.
