TAKING A LOOK INTO COAST RADIO SPORTS:
Siuslaw senior Andrea Osbon has been recognized as Coast Radio’s Athlete of the Week. Osbon stand for her efforts in three events, the Shot Put, the Discus, and the Javelin. Andrea has posted first place finishes in all but one event this year with personal record throws in both the Shot put and the discus with tosses of 39-6 and 115-01 respectively…This week’s Honorable Mention goes to Siuslaw softball standout Bailey Overton. The Viking Junior went 7 for 12, with 3 homeruns and 2 doubles in three games last week. She had 6 RBI’s, scored 7 runs, and had 2 stolen bases. Defensively Bailey had 10 assists and 9 put outs.
Prep baseball this afternoon pits Siuslaw against the Falcons. Pregame on KCST is at 4:45 with first pitch set for 5 o’clock from Elmira. The Siuslaw Girls will take on the Falcon girls at the same time in Elmira.
In track and field, the Viking had originally been schedule to compete at Junction City, but due to Covid 19 restrictions will hold an intra-squad contest instead at Siuslaw High School.
