Ems Top Canadians
It took 11 hits and 4 runs to secure a win last night for the Eugene Emeralds, and it wasn’t an easy win. The Ems almost gave up the tying run in the top of the ninth to the Canadians as they tried to capitalize on a hard hit double to right field by Rafeal Lantigua with 2 outs and bases loaded. But the Ems pitcher, as the cutoff man got the ball to third baseman Sean Roby who tagged out the runner ending the game.
