Pitching Puts Ems in Hole
It was a rough night for the Eugene Emeralds in Spokane last night. The Ems had the game under control leading the Indians 11-4 after 8 ½ innings. A pitching change in the bottom of the 8th inning proved to be the Ems undoing as a series of walks and a barrage of hits brought 10 runs in stunning the Ems. Final score 14-11. The loss hurt the Ems standings as well as the Everett Aqua Sox finally won one from Tri-City last night 9-4 pushing the Ems back to a 4 and a half game deficit. Play resumes this evening at 6:05 from Avista Stadium.
