Viking Volleyball
On Tuesday evening the Siuslaw Volleyball team had their first match against Sutherlin. The Vikings took the first two set 25-15 and 25-14. Sutherlin turned the tide on the next two sets evening it up with 25-12 and 25-11 scored. Sutherlin eventually beat out the Vikings in the final set 15-8. The Vikings next match will be Wednesday, September 8th at Pleasant Hill.
Viking Soccer
The Siuslaw Viking soccer team faced the Creswell Bulldogs at home yesterday. Coach Londi Tomaro said it was a fun game to watch as the first half ended in a 1-1 tie, but the Vikings controlled the ball in the second half holding the bulldogs scoreless while putting three balls in the goal to take the game 4-1. The Vikings don’t take the field again until September 16th against Pleasant hill.
