Ems 1/2 Game Back
The Eugene Emeralds are a ½ game behind the Spokane Indians in the High A West League. Over the weekend the Ems visited Hillsboro to finish off a 6 game series with the Hops. Saturday’s game was suspended and completed on Sunday where the Ems defeated the Hops 2-1. Sunday night’s game saw the Ems jump out in the second inning with a 2 run homer by Franklin Labour. In the top of the third with bases loaded the Ems Armani Smith hit a triple to drive in three runs. The Ems added one more in the 7th for a 6-1 victory. The Ems are now 60 and 48 on the season with just 2 weeks left.

Viking soccer for today was cancelled against North Bend. The Vikings will next meet Tillamook on Monday, September 13th.
Viking Volleyball travels to Pleasant Hill on Wednesday.
Girls Basketball Honors
It took some time to get the results published, but the Sky-Em League 2021 girls Basketball All League Teams are out. Gracie Freudenthal made Second Team honors and Brea Blankenship was Honorable Mention
