Vikings and Elmira Soccer
It was a hard fought battle on the soccer field yesterday as the Siuslaw Vikings met with Elmira. By early in the second half Elmira had jumped to a 2-0 lead when Jason Garcia scored a goal in the penalty area making it a 2-1 game. That would be all of the scoring as both teams defenses held through the end of the game. Coach Londi Tomaro says passing and winning the ball in the air still plague the team.
Volleyball Tonight
Siuslaw Volleyball is hosting Junction city this evening. Vikings are 5-4 on the season and 2-1 in league play. Junction City has a 9-3 record and is 1-1 in league play. Play begins this evening at 5pm with JV followed by the varsity.
