Vikings Down to the Wire with Win
It was a nail biter down to the final second of the game on Friday as the Siuslaw Vikings hosted Cascade Christian. The Vikings came back after being down by 10 and scored with just under a minute to take a 4 point lead. Bob Sneddon with the call:

Vikings are 4-0 on the season and are ranked #4 in the state.
Viking Volleyball was also victorious over the weekend. On Saturday the Vikings were in Junction City for a tournament and went undefeated on the day first defeating Woodburn 25-14 and 25-6 then Tillamook 25-23 and 25-14. Klamath Union was the next to fall 26-24 and 25-9 and the Vikings defeated Junction City for the Championship losing the first set 25-22 then rebounding 25-5 and 15-12.
Cross Country Win
In yet another Viking win the Boys and Girls Cross Country team competed in the Woahink Lake Cross Country Invitational. Chad Hughes finished in first place for the boys followed by Kyle Hughes in Third to finish with 62 points and the win Chad finished in 17 minutes and a half second. For the girls it was Rylee Colton who finished in second with a time of 20:05.1 and Addison McNeill finished in the #9 position and the girls finished 3rd out of 8 schools.
Ducks Defeat in OT
The Oregon Ducks were on their way to another victory on Saturday when a last second score by the Cardinal sent the game into overtime. The game ended on a 14 yard pass from Stanford’s Tanner McKee to John Humphreys to snap the Ducks win streak 31-24.
Beavers Win with Last Second Field Goal
The OSU Beavers were on Target on Saturday holding off the Huskies. The Beavers were down 24-17 in the fourth quarter and tied the game with 6:35 left in the game. The Beavers got the ball back and hit a 24 yard field goal to win the game as time expired. The Beavers are 4-1 and atop the Pac-12 north.
Soccer Schedule
Viking Soccer is on the field today to host Cottage Grove. That game will begin at 6:30.
