Viking Football
The Siuslaw Vikings are 7-0 on the season after a 21-14 win over Santiam Christian on Friday. The Vikings led 21-0 in the first half and held the eagles to two scores in the second half. Viking qb Beau Erickson connected with Braydon Thornton twice for touchdowns and Camp Lacouture ran the third one in on a 5 yard late in the second quarter. The Vikings will finish up the regular season this Friday at Junction City. Junction City lost their bid at an undefeated season on Friday after losing to La Pine 40-8. The Vikings sit alone atop the special District for the time being. The Vikings are ranked #2 in the state in 3A below Ranier.
Viking Volleyball
Viking Volleyball will head to Banks tomorrow for a one game play in beginning at 6:30.
Viking Cross Country
This Thursday Viking Cross Country will be at Lane Community college in Eugene for the Sky-Em League Championships.
College Football
The Oregon Ducks held on to the lead on Saturday holding off a late surge by UCLA to win 34-31. The Beavers scored with runs, passes and special teams play on Saturday with 6 touchdowns. They held off the Utah Utes 42-34.
