District XC Championships Today
Today the Siuslaw Viking Cross Country team will be in Eugene at Lane Community College for the Sky-Em District Championships. Races will begin in the noon hour.
Volleyball Playoff
Viking Volleyball will be on the road tomorrow for the first game in the Playoff series. They will face North Marion at 5:30.
Viking Football
The Viking Football team will be in Junction City to take on the Tigers. Junction City is coming off their only loss of the season a 40-8 drubbing by La Pine. A Viking win would secure the district championship. A loss would put the Vikings could potentially put them in a 3 way tie with Junction City and La Pine if La Pine defeats Sisters on Friday night. Viking Coach Sam Johnson says Friday’s game will be a battle
“We’re expecting a dog fight, they’re 5-1 if they win they get a share of the league championship, if we win we get it outright. And so I expect this to be a super physical football game.”
