Viking Face La Pine in Rematch
The Siuslaw Vikings will face La Pine in the semi-finals of the state playoffs for 3A football. After a tough battle on Friday, defeating Cascade Christian 28-23, the Vikings had to wait until Saturday to find out their next opponent. La Pine defeated Warrenton 30-8 on Saturday setting up the rematch of a game earlier this season. The Vikings travel to a neutral site. The game will be played at Cottage Grove with a pregame on KCST at 12:45 and kickoff at 1pm.
Ducks Advance in AP Polls
The Oregon Ducks move up in the latest AP Poll after their 38-24 win over Washington State on Saturday. The Ducks are now ranked 4th in the AP and are ranked #3 in the CFP rankings for the college playoffs. The Ducks still have to get past Utah on Saturday and then Oregon State next week in order to make the National Championship run.
Beavers Bowl Eligible
The Oregon State Beavers are now bowl eligible after defeating Stanford on Saturday 35-14. The Beavers are 6-4 and 5-0 at home.
Women’s College Basketball
Beaver women’s basketball was victorious Friday night defeating Loyola Marymount 82-52. Talia von Oelhoffen led the beavers with 19.
The Oregon Duck women are 4-0 to start the season after beating Dixie State last night. The ducks more than doubled their opponents score with a 84-35 victory. Leading the charge for the Duck was Ahlise Hurst with 17.
