Vikings Win Over Bandon
Apparently ribs heal pretty fast. Last night the Vikings Braydon Thornton scored 15 along with Brody Terry. Avery Hart added 10 points with Kyle Hughes and contributing 8 and Chad Hughes 7 as the Vikings defeated Bandon 55-47. Coach Dylan Perry said it wasn’t a pretty win, but he’ll take it.
The Viking Girls were not as lucky as Bandon ruled the night with a 47-7 victory over the Viks.
Mapleton Basketball Begins
Mapleton Basketball was also on the court last night at home taking on C.S. Lewis Academy. The Sailors Keevyn Walker had 13 points to lead the team in scoring. Coach Eric Wolgamatt said it was a good outing considering that 5 of the 7 players played their first high school basketball game. Sailors lost 39-25. The Sailor girls were also on the court and lost in a nail biter to Kennedy 28-24.
Duck Men Win
The Ducks Will Richardson continues to find his stride as Oregon defeats UC Riverside last night in Eugene. Richardson scored 17 in the 71-65 win.
The Oregon Duck Women dropped their third straight with a 64-57 loss to UC Davis.
The OSU Beavers women’s basketball team was victorious over Pacific last night eeking by 76-72 with 18 points from freshman guard Talia von Oelhoffeen. The Beaver men are on the court this evening visiting Cal.
