Vikings Defeat Bulldogs
The Siuslaw Viking boys basketball team was victorious last night against the Sutherlin Bulldogs. The 47-20 victory was their second against Sutherlin. With 10 seconds left to go the Vikings looked to finish strong getting the ball to number 23 Joe Slaughter.
“trying to get the ball to Joe, and they do he’s gonna shoot the three, outside rim, no good.”
The Vikings move to 6-4 on the season. They will compete in the sky-em/skyline crossover tournament this Friday and Saturday.
Siuslaw to Host Wrestling Tournament
The Siuslaw Viking wrestlers will host a match at Glen Butler court tomorrow afternoon. Scheduled to compete are Siuslaw, Cottage Grove, Elmira, Junction City and Marshfield. Competition begins at 2 pm.
Mapleton Sports
The Mapleton sailors are scheduled to be on the court for basketball tomorrow against Mohawk beginning at 5:30. The boys game against Triangle Lake last night was cancelled, there is no update available on the girls game.
